Follow Friday (2)

This week's question:

Let's step away from books for a second and get personal. What T-Shirt slogan best describes you?

Hmm. Well I have a T-shirt that says "You're just jealous that the voices talk to me." I think that's pretty fitting. Or any band tees. I wear those a lot. You can usually find me wearing a T-shirt with one of my favorite band logos on it.

Here's the one I have:

What about you?

This week's question:
Character Envy: If you could be one character from a book,
who would you choose & why?

I would definitely choose Tris from Divergent by Veronica Roth. Not only is this one of my favorite books, but Tris is just so kick-ass and strong. I would love to be as courageous and awesome as her for even a day. Plus there's the added bonus of knowing a certain someone. ;)

Who would you pick?

And...

This week's question is:
“Highlight one book you have received this week (for review, from the library, purchased at the store, etc.) that you can’t wait to dig into!”

I got Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce. I can't wait to read this book, I've heard so many good things about it. Plus, I love a good retelling of old stories. :)

Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris--the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She's determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead.
Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts ferociously alongside her. But even as more girls' bodies pile up in the city and the Fenris seem to be gaining power, Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves. She finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax and Scarlett's only friend--but does loving him mean betraying her sister and all that they've worked for?

  26. I’m seeing a lot of single answer responses with Twilight being by far the most popular choice. I really must analyze all the elements of that series that send girls ga-ga. Such studies are a part of the never-ending "code breaking” we males need to continuously execute to understand and relate with the fairer sex.

I’ve cracked about 80% of the code. I will continue cracking the code until I reach 100% success. Then I’ll write a book for men and become a billionaire overnight.

    BUT I DIGRESS....

I’ve got four different series I can read over and over again. Three of them were written by deceased authors and three of them are fantasy adventures.

Follow me back to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and find out how far off the beaten track I’ve gone with my favorite book series!

    Thank God it’s Follow Friday!

  27. I loved this week’s question! I’ve made so many friends in the book blog world and am really impressed with so many blogs it was hard to hunker down and make a choice.

But I did it! I’m shining the spotlight on a Jersey girl! Hop on over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net to find out who she is and discover her amazing book blog.
