This week's question:
Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all of your family and friends?
Well, my first answer would obviously be the Harry Potter series. I'm always going to recommend these books to everyone because they're purely magical and simply amazing (no pun intended? haha). I grew up with these books, and I still continue to re-read them every year.
Another book that I would recommend to everyone is Looking for Alaska by John Green. This book is amazing. John Green's writing has such great meaning, and he captures the teenage voice perfectly. His books are always hard-hitting and astounding. Every time I read Looking for Alaska, I love it more and more. And I know I'm gushing about this book, but it's just so good!
What books would you share with everyone you know?

Great choices! I also loved Looking for Alaska. It's funny, it seems like a polarizing book. Either you think it's genius, or you hate it. I'm glad I'm on the former side of the debate. =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being the feature!
ReplyDeleteLooking for Alaska is on my TBR pile since ages and I love the vlogbrother vidoes.

Well , I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books but I have seen the movies . I know the movie takes away from the story and I plan on reading the books in the 2012 Harry Potter challenge . I also read a terrific review about them and I hope to draw the same conclusion.

I promised a couple of fellow book bloggers I wouldn’t “machine gun” my Follow Friday posts on the blogs I visit but this week’s Follow Friday has inspired me to make an important exception.
ReplyDeleteThe book I think everyone should read is a work of non-fiction called The Four Hour Workweek. The thing is, the book is very well written and entertaining so it reads like a work of fiction. What the book can do to enhance your life and change the way you live day by day seems unbelievable on its face which might mark it a legitimate work of fiction for the skeptics out there.
If you read this work of non-fiction and really follow the advice it gives and apply the insights you’ll gain, your life will read like a modern tale fairytale.
I encourage, implore and even insist you follow me back to my book blog so you can find out why I think EVERYONE should read The Four Hour Workweek – http://www.howardsherman.net
